Several months ago I spent four days in Riverside California on the set of HBO’s Carnival (Christina Aguilera’s video “Hurt” was shot there to). There I shot Carney’s debut music video “Love Me Chase Me” ! The band was awesome, a great bunch oh boys. Evan Rachel Wood stars in the video opposite Reeve Carney as Mr.Green.
Check it out:

Here is also a behind the scenes video. This is not the one I am in but that will be released soon! Stay tuned : ).

While I’m writing this I am actually watching Bones (Ep.3 I totally guessed he was amish. Love Booth! To death! I wish he were real). But right before that I watched the new installment of the Stargate franchise. I’ve been a fan since my hair was black and I wore tie-dye. Our family tv didn’t receive broadcast so I owned this absolutely tiny ancient tv you might take on a road trip or a boat trip. It was black and white and that’s where I watched Stargate SG1 every saturday night at 11 on Fox! Wow! I can’t believe I remember that. That was in the 90’s before cable was really big and sci-fi picked em up. What are now classic episodes were fresh new installments, I can’t believe how old I sound (only going to get older from here). I have to admit I didn’t get into Stargate Atlantis, but Stargate Universe might have had some good bait . First off (spoiler alert!)
Eli. Pretty much the hero of the show. It was absolutely ridiculous and at the same time brilliant to have this character represent the majority fan base of the television show and have him act out their wildest dreams.
A young stocky moderately pasty average guy gets a knock on his front door *knock*knock* oh shit! There’s colonel O’neil!! Just for playing a video game!!! Genius!!! Now there is no way the majority fan base will not watch this show because they’ve written a character so completely relatable to them it’s like watching their own day dreams (and perhaps night dreams) come true. “My girlfriend says I won’t amount to anything if I keep playing MMORPGs. But Stargate Universe says you can be beamed up and travel galaxies for trying really hard at them!”.
Genius. Right now. How do you keep a show fresh that is still alive because of it’s ridiculously huge fan base? Put the fan in the show. I know StarGate is unique for being so well loved by people beyond the stereotypical nerdy teenager. I pretty comfortable saying I am not a teenage boy, a gamer or moderately overweight, nor is my mom who is an avid fan. Again, it wouldn’t be around if it wasn’t.
But speaking of my mom. A strong asian lady. Ming-Na’s character I am hoping will reveal more charisma or depth or something more interesting because I was really rooting for her to grab me and it didn’t happen. But I will definitely continue watching to find out more about these people. I also read an article that reveals that Ming-Na’s character is a lesbian and I am really curious as to how they will reveal that and utilize that in the narrative of the show. If she is a lesbian then there must be another lesbian for her to have dramatic relations with no? Or will it be a completely subtle sexuality? Or will she get in trouble for hitting on a straight girl? Doubt it. But I have no idea. But apparently it’s a big deal because it is the first Asian-lesbian character in television history to be a series regular.
Anyway, those are the thoughts that stuck with me after this viewing. OH! and the opening title sequence was kickass. Shivers. I swear there were shivers. Oh. I also am really annoyed with the Nick Rush character, but I think that is the way we are suppose to feel about him right now. The writers need a love hate character to play with in every show.
Well that’s it for now! Next week! woo woo can’t wait. Let me know what you guys thought! Oh. I also can’t wait for the season premier of South Park in two days!

A little bit about the MS Society:
The national MS Society not only helps fund critical research for a cure, but also funds programs that directly help those affected by the diease.
I would like to quote my amazing friend Anna who interned at the MS Society:
“”I know a women with MS and without the MS Society behind her, she wouldn’t able to afford her medications. I like to think that I’m raising money specifically for her. I know a man in a wheel chair and without the MS Society, he could not afford the chair. The money we raise goes towards that chair.”
-With ANY donation up to $25.00 I will send you a free MS Society bunny!
-With a donation between $25.00 – $50.00 I will send you a MS Society bunny & two baby MS Society bunnies!

I’m sitting here buzzed on sparkling wine trying to get inspiration for a script at my internship. They told me to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The buzz is really hindering my movie watching skillz. In the mean time I’d like to share with you some photos from this insane weekend I had. Four days I spent in 106 degree california heat ACing on a music video for the band Carney. The video of their single “Love Me Chase Me” will be released soon, I can’t share much but here is one picture of the wonders endured this weekend in Riverside, California.

Me in a tiger cage.
The band was a great bunch of guys, check out Carney’s music at http://www.carneyband.com/. Once the video is released there will be lots of behind to scenes to be shared.

So I like the historic sites and museums, the statues of Kings and Queens and what nots. But when I travel to foreign countries I realize my actual favorite thing to discover and take photos of are how different the most basic things are in different countries.
Soda, Toilets, Candy, Makeup, Milk Cartons, Ice creams, transportations, mints. That’s what really gets my travel kitty meowing (lol, what?).
So in all the odd flavors and shapes I have encountered here are some of the Swedish products I’ve come to either adore! or not understand.
1.FESTIS
This is a delicious SODA! (Or as we say in Minnesota, POP!)
I wanted to try this because of the light green color! I didn’t even read the flavor. I just love this muted, mint, radio active color. Definitely in my top five.
It says “Guanabana Pineapple”. I had no idea what this fruit was but I looked it up and apparently it is a common fruit in Latin America and in English it is called “Soursop”. It does taste similar to the yellow pineapple we American’s hold dear to our hearts, but there’s more to it I can’t quite put to words. Try it yourself and let me know what you think!

The real fruit.

I am debating whether I’ll be a Sailor Jupiter for this halloween or a goldfish…

I think a gold fish would be really cute. I think it’s winning. Or Santa Claus.
